Italian tax overview
Review an estimated Italian fiscal position, loss carryforwards and what-if sale calculations under the versioned it-2026 rules.
What it does
The tax cockpit gives an informational view of the recorded Italian fiscal
position for a selected tax year. Under the it-2026 rule pack it groups
realized gains and losses by income category, shows estimated tax and offsets,
and separates results by account and tax regime.
You can record known loss carryforwards, including their formation year and account, and review their remaining amount and expiry. The sale simulator lets you choose one recorded holding, quantity and optional price to see an estimated gain or loss, category, offset and tax before any real sale.
Every result carries the rule-pack version. Data-quality issues remain visible so an incomplete record is not presented as a complete fiscal answer.
What it does not do
- It does not prepare, submit or certify an Italian tax return.
- It does not tell you what to sell, buy or replace to reduce tax.
- It does not execute the sale entered in the simulator.
- It does not provide financial, legal or tax advice. Verify the figures and treatment with your commercialista.
Known limits
- Only Italian rules in the
it-2026pack are available. Other tax residencies return an explicit unavailable state. - Crypto, PIR, pension-fund rules, qualified participations, corporate-action cost-basis adjustments and IVAFE calculations are outside the current calculation. The page does not expose the internal Quadro RT/RM working paper and does not produce filing-ready tax-form fields.
- Results depend on complete transactions, acquisition costs, account regimes, currencies and historical exchange rates. Missing evidence produces a data-quality issue. Some affected monetary fields can still display €0; when that zero appears beside an issue, it means not computed, not nothing owed.
- Manually entered carryforwards are user-provided facts and are not verified against a bank certificate or prior return.
- Tax rules can change after the pack is published; the pack version and tax year identify the rules used, not a guarantee that they remain current.
