Portfolio

Review portfolio value, gain or loss, positions, allocation, performance and data quality in one workspace.

What it does

The portfolio workspace brings your investments together. You can look at one portfolio or all portfolios, choose a time period, and move between summary, positions, analysis and plan views.

The summary shows current value, invested amount, gain or loss, position count and data that needs attention. Positions can be searched and filtered, and you can add an asset manually or request a price refresh. Analysis shows allocation, performance, geography and sector views. The plan view connects the portfolio to its Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and data-quality checks.

Amounts from different portfolios are combined only after conversion to the same display currency. A portfolio without the required exchange rate is left out of the aggregate instead of being counted at an invented rate.

What it does not do

  • It does not connect to a broker, place orders or prove the balance on a statement.
  • It does not include deposit accounts in investment performance, allocation or rebalancing.
  • It does not include a portfolio with a missing exchange rate in converted multi-portfolio totals.
  • It does not make the IPS or the portfolio-health indicators investment advice; they compare your recorded data with the plan you configured.

Known limits

  • Portfolio results depend on complete holdings, transaction history, prices and currencies. Stale positions are marked for review.
  • Period movement is shown as unavailable when there is not enough history to calculate it.
  • The all-portfolios view can be partial when a portfolio cannot be converted to the selected display currency.
  • Some holdings cannot be assigned to a sector, geography or IPS asset class; those analyses may therefore be incomplete.
  • A missing current exchange rate makes the affected cost figures unavailable; a missing historical rate excludes the affected transaction from performance.
  • In the all-portfolios summary, an absent aggregate cost basis or prior value can still produce a 0% gain or daily change. Treat that percentage as unavailable, not as a measured zero.
