Import documents
Upload a financial document, review the extracted transactions and choose what to add to an existing account and portfolio.
What it does
The document import guides you through upload, review and portfolio update. You choose the destination account and portfolio, upload a file, and wait for MrMoney.ai to extract its transactions.
Before importing, you see which rows match an existing asset, which can create a new asset and which look like duplicates. You can select individual rows, skip them or change the proposed action. The final step reports how many transactions were imported and how many positions were created or updated.
The page also lists recent documents so you can reopen a completed review, download the original file or delete the document.
What it does not do
- It does not connect to an institution or keep the portfolio synchronized.
- It does not update the portfolio before you reach the review step and confirm the import.
- It does not treat a proposed asset match as a guarantee. You remain responsible for checking the instrument, currency, quantity and price.
- It does not create the destination account or portfolio; both must already exist.
Known limits
- The guided page processes one file at a time.
- Accepted formats are PDF, JPG, JPEG, PNG, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX and CSV, but acceptance of a format does not guarantee that every layout can be extracted.
- Scans, password-protected documents and unfamiliar tables may fail or require a different source file.
- Duplicate detection depends on the data available in the document and the selected portfolio; review the proposed duplicate rows before skipping them.
- A value that cannot be determined is not replaced with zero. Complete or correct the source data before relying on the imported result.
