Deposit accounts

Track savings and term-deposit accounts next to your portfolio, with net interest, maturities and deposit-guarantee coverage.

What it does

The deposit workspace answers where your cash sits, what it earns and when it comes free. You add a deposit account per bank, then one line per arrangement: free (no lock-up) or term (locked until a maturity date), each with its gross rate, principal and dates.

From those inputs the overview shows:

  • total deposited, split into available and locked;
  • an estimate of net interest, with the Italian withholding (26%) and the stamp duty (0.20% per year, pro-rata) shown as separate lines rather than folded into a single number;
  • the maturity calendar, so a lock-up expiring is visible before it expires;
  • how much of the deposit-guarantee limit you are using at each bank.

Deposit balances are part of your net worth on the dashboard.

What it does not do

  • It does not connect to your bank. Accounts, lines and rates are entered by you, and nothing is imported or refreshed automatically.
  • It does not give tax or investment advice. The withholding and stamp-duty figures are a descriptive estimate of the Italian defaults, not a filing and not a recommendation.
  • It does not treat deposits as portfolio positions. They do not appear in portfolio performance, allocation or rebalancing — the money is in the bank, not invested.
  • It does not add locked lines to the account balance. A line describes how the balance is remunerated, not a second pot of money.

Known limits

  • The feature is in preview: it is visible only if your account has been granted access.
  • Joint accounts are not modelled; the guarantee check assumes a single holder, so a joint account's real limit is higher than the one shown.
  • Guarantee schemes outside Italy are not modelled, although amounts in other currencies are supported.
  • A promotional rate that changes over time is entered as consecutive lines; there is no rate schedule.
  • There is no statement import and no automatic daily accrual: interest is an estimate computed from what you entered, recomputed when you edit it.
